What Else is Red Light Good For?

I recently shared the incredible effect Red Light Therapy can have on your skin, but what else can it do?

Help you LOSE FAT! Sometimes diet and exercise are just not enough. Factors such as chronic stress, hormones, or chronic inflammation can make losing inches a discouraging battle. Red light therapy can cause an increase in metabolism and fat cells to dissolve making weight loss possible again.

Red Light Therapy is also known for its muscle growth, performance, and recovery properties.

Many elite and professional athletes use red light therapy before and after training and competition to maintain peak functioning and shorten recovery time from training. Red light stimulates the mitochondria (the muscle cells’ energy centers) causing an increase in energy production. This leads to faster cellular regeneration and growth. Since red light also reduces inflammation, muscles recover faster from high-intensity training. This process also accelerates muscle recovery from injury by reducing scar tissue in muscles (fibrosis). Left untreated, fibrosis can cause permanent loss of function or mobility. Red light supports the formation of new, healthy muscle tissue by activating stem cells in the muscles. Both red and NIR light are beneficial for muscle repair and growth.
