Red Light Therapy and Mental Health
One of the questions that I am often asked is, “Can Red Light Therapy help with my ______ --insert any one of many mental health issues that face our culture in raising numbers today!!!”.
The short answer is YES!!
Red Light Therapy involves the use of a medical grade low-wave red and infrared red light and is often referred to as Photobiomodulation (Life Changing Light). It is a natural light treatment and has no known negative side effects (unlike some UV based light therapies). In treatment, the red light penetrates the skin and is absorbed by the mitochondria. From there it increases the ATP energy within cells and helps to improve sleep, skin health, fat loss, inflammation relief and create healthier new cells in the brain. The effects on the brain and mental health are well documented.
