How Do I Stay Motivated?

I am often asked, "How do you stay motivated?" "How do you stay committed to getting your workouts in every day?"


Here is the honest answer, I don't! Yes, motivation plays a huge part in the commitment that I've made to my health...but so does discipline! The motivational quotes, knowing that I have a little people watching me and learning from my actions, and knowing that I've created a community of like-minded people who look to me on tough days helps... but those things alone are not always enough to keep me going. What is, however, is discipline.

Discipline is what makes you do it when you don't want to! Discipline is what makes you finish those last two reps when all you want to do is give up. Discipline is what holds me accountable! It is that nagging little voice that says, "You know you need to do this!"- "You know you will be proud if you do!" - "You know you will feel crappy for the rest of the day if you don't."


Discipline is that little guy on my shoulder reminding me to push harder every day! Discipline is the difference between short term success and long-term lifestyle change. Do you need help with discipline? I am happy to support you - I will be your Jiminy Cricket until you develop what you need!
