Why You Can Not Give Up, Mama

Tired, defeated, humbled mama…

Hey there strong, confident, arrived 10 minutes early with sparkling children mama…

We've all been there! We've all been both of these mamas!!!

We all have good days, and tough days… We all have days when we want to give up… when we want to get in our car and drive away (or is that just me!!).

I wanted to take a minute and remind you why you can't give up! Why you can't give in… Ever! They are your greatest work of art. You are their role model. They will take what you teach them and become adults. They will become our future leaders, our future teachers, our future doctors, our future mothers and fathers… one of them will even become our future president! They will absorb what we do just as much, if not more than, what we say. They are watching to make sure we don't give up when things get tough. They are testing the boundaries of their worlds, they are testing us. They are watching how we treat each other, how we speak about other people, how we speak to other people, and if we pass judgment on others.

They are our children! They are the reason!

If you want to raise a child that you are proud of. We have to be people that we are proud of. It's OK to show weakness as a parent, it's OK to ask for help, it's OK to give help when you're having one of your good days… It's just never OK to give up!

On your good days strive for great, on your bad days strive for survival… Know that you are not alone, that there is no such thing as perfect, others out there that have your back, and you've got this!
